Player Report: Jake Odorizzi, RHP (TB, AAA)
Mike Parnell is currently a senior at Cornell University where he is majoring in Industrial Labor Relations and minoring in economics. He has spent the past several years working in baseball. He first began working in baseball as a baseball operations intern for the Nashua Pride in high school before working as the Assistant to the Commissioner in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in 2010 through 2012. In 2013 he began scouting minor league and independent level players.
Each week Batting Leadoff will post two scouting reports on players that he’s seen this year along with video of the player. The scouting report will feature a summary of the player and his grades for each tool or pitch. Occasionally, he will add additional comments on the player if he feels it is necessary.
